Anton DiSclafani grew up in northern Florida, where she rode horses, competing nationally. She graduated from Emory University and received her MFA from Washington University, where she currently teaches creative writing. She lives in St. Louis.

Virginia Slachman spent many years as an award-winning poet and college professor before launching into a career as a memoirist and novelist. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, poetry led to Ph.D. studies at the University of Cincinnati and a long, successful career in the college classroom teaching literature and writing.
