British author and radio scriptwriter Jonquil Antony was the author of "Mrs Dale’s Diary," the first significant BBC radio serial drama. She married the actor John Wyse, who played Sir Richard in the popular early television series "Puck of Pook’s Hill." In 1962, she started a newspaper column for girls in the The Children’s Newspaper, one of the 20th century’s most successful magazines for young people.
