Short biography
Alice Archer has questions. Lots of them. Scheming to put fictional characters through the muck so they can get to a better place helps her find answers. Thankfully, the questions never end. She writes stories about men finding themselves and falling in love because doing so feels like healing. She shares them with the hope that others might feel some healing too.

Alice has messed about with words professionally for many years as an editor and writing coach. She’s pretty much drenched in words from dawn to dusk. Okay, also at night. There are ink stains on the bedding from writing sloppily in notebooks in the dark.

After living in more than eighty places (starting with the first move when she was two) and cobbling together a portable lifestyle, Alice has a lot of story material to sort through. It has reassured her to discover that even though culture and beliefs can get people into a peck of trouble when they’re falling in love, the human heart beats the same in any language.

You’re likely to find Alice ignoring the clock to finish typing the thought. Or wandering by foot or bicycle, sort of hoping to get lost (with a pen and a little pad of paper in her pocket). Or screwing up time zone calculations when making calls to family and friends spread over two continents.

She currently lives near Nashville. Maybe this move will stick.

"Everyday History" by Alice Archer

My Synopsis...

"Everyday History" was some read in that it was a very deep thought provoking poetic M/M gay romance story. The story was well written with highly intriguing characters with such interesting history of a young boys crush on a teacher and the teacher actually falling for this younger man.... Henry and Ruben...the mentor and the student brought together by fate. I know for some that may sound somewhat strange but you really have to pick up this read to see how this author brings it all out to the reader. I was relieved to know that these two didn't actually end up together until Ruben was older. I saw how the story was of 'letting go of the past and turning something really bad into a source of strength' and from that finding the strength to share with others. For Ruben there was honesty with a stubborn determination and with Henry ...he was just 'Henry.'

This novel is a very good read, stunningly well written, with some dramatic emotional scenes and I don't want to leave out Henry's intensely emotional story and lastly with Ruben finally getting his act together. I will say this author really know to give the readers quite a intriguing story that will definitely pull at your heartstrings. Once you get into the read it will keep your attention as you will find yourself turning the pages till the end to see if there will be a happy ending!
