This was my favorite Golden Book. I tried to base my life on it, but alas, nothing goes as planned. I still love the book.

Very nice collection that includes *unabridged* copies of such stories as Mister Dog (aka Crispin's Crispian) by Margaret Wise Brown and Garth Williams, The Golden Egg Book by Brown and Leonard Weisgard, and four stories illustrated by Gustaf Tenggren. ?áUnfortunately it does not have Color Kittens... I'd still like to read a complete edition of that.

Hmm. Picked it up in a thrift store, expecting to dislike it. But, though I didn't find it perfectly suited to my taste, it's fine. The pictures are interesting, if you like that style, and the explanation of how sun & water make clouds which give rain is align-able with science (as well as being kind of New-Agey fake Indian-y).
