There isn't much text, it is mostly a photo book that exemplifies the Icelandic autumn sheep roundup tradition which to herders is like going to the Super Bowl because it is the one time of year everyone meets up with old friends and share stories. It is equally work and fun.

The author shares some brief stories that happened over the years. Rescues of stranded people, bad weather... You will get a brief glimpse of the sheep herder lifestyle from the photos. I believe there are no photos from the famous Faxi Waterfall herding site though.

Nice book, well edited. The photos are stunning due to their rawness but I would have appreciated less blurry photos. Still, a good very quick read.… (more)
