ELINE K. BARCLAY---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Paintings of Eline Barclay explore the essence and mood of the natural world. The
artist is concerned with early morning and twilight as well as weather - stormy skies,
foreboding clouds, gossamer fog . " I am not usually a 'sunshine' painter. I love the nuance
of the Coastal Maine light - its mood and atmosphere, with a touch of mystery without
being nostalgic ."  Her response to nature is somewhere between the naturalistic and the
romantic.       SELECTED EXHIBITIONS  2008       2008 Biennial Exhibition                  Center for Maine Contemporary Art, Rockport, ME        2007       Two Person show at VanBrunt Gallery, Beacon NY
