Aubrey Faulkner would not be the first cricketer that came to mind when asked to name some famous cricketers from history, but the all-rounder was one of the leading cricketers in the world in the first decade of the twentieth century.

This contribution to ACS Publications "Famous Cricketers Series" helps flesh out the man behind the statistics, as well as fleshing out the statistics themselves, as Faulkner's first-class career in South Africa and internationally is recorded, innings by innings, and then a vast range of appropriate statistics given, including his batting average of 228.00 at Old Trafford.
