This was an impulse purchase made when browsing Tupelo Press's website. This is poetry equally comfortable in nature as in mythology -- name-checking palo verde, ocotillo, blue chicory, & ironweed, but also Hermes and Leviathan. My favorite poem, "Whole Cities Burn for Your Account Number," imagines Phaeton, son of the god Helios, emailing the reader to offer 12% for your assistance in recovering his riches.

Absolutely the kind of poetry that becomes richer and richer with re-reading.
