She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in English and a minor in Philosophy. She auditioned for the circus once, but didn't make it; other jobs she’s had include obituaries writer, biker bar waitress, and receptionist. In addition, Jackson coaches both color guard and winter guard at a local high school. At 26 years, Sisters Red is already her second published novel. ROBIN BENWAY grew up in Orange County, California, and attended both New York University and the University of California at Los Angeles. At NYU, she won the 1997 Seth Barkas Prize in Creative Writing. She has held a variety of positions in the publishing industry, including part-time salesperson at Borders, publicist at both Ballantine and Knopf, and publicity director at Book Soup in West Hollywood.
