Professor James A. Bill is the Wendy and Emery Reves Professor of International Studies for the Department of Government. He obtained this position in 1987. Professor Bill graduated with his BA in Foreign Affairs and Philosophy from Assumption College. He went on to obtain a MA in Political Science from Penn State University, a MA in Politics from Princeton University and his PhD in Politics and Near East Studies from Princeton as well. Professor Bill has authored or co-authored nine books, the most recent being George Ball: Behind the Scenes in U. S. Foreign Policy (Yale UP, 1997). His primary field of study is International Politics, specifically Middle Eastern studies.
