Overall Opinion:
Kink? Check. BDSM? Check? Steamy scenes? Double checked. I already knew what I was getting myself into when picking up this book. Straight up erotica with a plot. Shocking? I know. From page one, I loved Claire and Luca relationship and how they were able to move from being professional to having a Dom and sub relationship. Sometimes when reading BDSM erotica, the author could force the relationship and the unnatural state of it makes it an unenjoyable read or play it out slowly, fully developing the characters and plot, and that my friends is how the authors were able to immerse me into this read. The writing style was wonderful, there were some depth to the characters that made them balance each other and lastly the sex scenes were quite enjoyable. "Luca's Lessons" was overall an enjoyable read and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for erotica with an actual plot.

I enjoyed this book a lot! The story flowed and was well done. It gave me all the feel good feelings of a good romance. The characters were great fun. I loved their interactions with each other. Fern was great! I thought she was one of the great characters. She gets to the point & doesn't beat around the bush. She's team Louana all the way & makes sure Jake knows it.
Louana & Jake are very strong personalities who sometimes clash but overall mesh great. Their story was great to read. Their negotiations are great & funny. They each have hurdles to cross & it made for a good story.
I wish there had been a bit more of a complete ending though. I feel like the story cut out before an important part, even though everything in the story was wrapped up properly.
I would’ve enjoyed reading more. Maybe as a series with some of the same repeating characters? I give this book a 4/5 ⭐️.… (more)

Louana and Jake are an interesting couple and a believable pairing to have a temporary hook-up that ends up something more. I enjoyed the story and the way their relationship evolved.
In some places I felt a bit lost, however. Something would happen and I'd flip back thinking I'd missed something. From the author's note at the back, this started off as a much longer first draft, so I think the editing back has been a touch too ruthless in places. Some scenes would have flowed much better with just a sentence or two extra.
Overall, it's a good story that does keep the reader's interest. Nice too, to see a drummer taking centre stage.
I received my copy through NetGalley.
