This is an early (maybe the earliest?) biography of Solzhenitsyn. The information is limited due to being written in 1972, long before he emigrated to the West. this small volume provides a fasinating recounting of the workings of the literary/political environment faced by solzhenitsyn in the 60's and early 70's. Lots of references to other contemporary literary and political figures. Defiitely worth a read to get an understanding of the dynamics of writing and publishing in the Ssoviet Era.
