About the Author
Dr. Susan Easton Black was the first woman to teach religion at Brigham Young University and the first woman to receive the Karl G. Maeser Distinguished Faculty Lecturer Award for her research and writing, the highest award given a professor at BYU. Susan is the mother of three sons. She enjoys show more being with her family and friends, writing, speaking, gardening, and playing pickle ball. She is the author of dozens of books on religious subjects. Susan has served two missions for the Historic Sites Department, a mission as a psychologist for LDS Social Services, a Nauvoo Illinois Temple mission, a St. George Temple Visitors' Center mission, and a mission to the Priesthood and Family Department in Salt Lake City. show less

Two small quibbling disagreements I have:
I feel like the Presidents of the church should have been excluded. I can see why they're there but I feel like their target audience is LDS and would therefore have ample resources on these men. It's a given that they fit the bill.
I disagreed with a couple (okay, 10) other of their choices. Politicians, especially living ones, tend to generate controversy and their existence/position/value on such a list is almost impossible to prove. There were others that I disagreed with...
