Disambiguation notice
John Blaine has been used as a pseudonym for juvenile series books on two periods of time. The most popular is for the Rick Brant series (1947-1968, 1990). Hal Goodwin worked on all 25 books in this series, including Science Projects. For the first three volumes in the series he had a cowriter, Peter J. Harkins.

The other time the name was used is as "Capt. John Blaine" for reprints of Boy Scout stories published by Saalfield. The original stories were issued in what collectors call the Maitland-Durston series of Boy Scout stories. Multiple ghostwriters worked on these Boy Scout stories so there is not 1:1 relationship as might be tempting for John Blaine (1).
