About the Author

Eric Bolling was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 2, 1963. He is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida with a BA degree in economics. He began a career in baseball. After being drafted in the 22nd round of the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates, a torn show more rotator cuff injury cut short his career. He became a commodities trader on the New York Mercantile Exchange. He served five years on the board of directors at the NYMEX and became a strategic adviser to the exchange's board of directors. His recognitions and awards include being named to the list of Trader Monthly's Top 100 in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, he received the Maybach Man of the Year Award at the Trader Monthly Awards. He helped to develop CNBC's Fast Money. Currently he works for Fox Business Network. He began there as a financial analyst and went to host the business show Happy Hour. In 2011, he became a co-host of The Five on the Fox News Channel and serves as guest host for many of their shows such as The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity, and Fox and Friends. His book, Wake Up America: The Nine Virtues That Made Our Nation Great--and Why We Need Them More Than Ever, was published in June 2016. Reviews

If your looking for some analytical, thoughtful revelations in this book, you will be disappointed. Essentially Mr. Bolling describes some scandals in government over the past 250 year history of the US to prove his point that government is bad and that if we would only cut taxes, regulations, and let the free market work its magic, all would be well. And drain the swamp (Washington DC) - do away with all the pigs at the trough.

He is a bit fast and loose with the facts and likes to use the word "seems" when facts may not quite support a purported scandal. And probably the clincher that might shake your faith in Mr. Bolling's clarity of thought is that his hopeful answer for cleaning up graft, greed, cronyism, sexual misconduct, unaccountability, etc. in DC is none other than the "self-made" (with a few million dollars from dad) President Trump.

It is a quick read, but with a lot of repetition, with very little supportive detail for his ideas.
