At his event, moderator Jenny Milchman will lead fellow authors KELLY BRAFFET, Carla Buckley and Therese Walsh in a conversation that examines many of our biases and assumptions about literature. Namely, is there any such thing? Or are all books created equal? Audience participation will be encouraged, so be sure to come armed with questions and thoughts to discuss.

Jenny Milchman is a writer of literary suspense who grew up in Montclair, NJ, and now lives in Morristown, NY. In addition to her writing, Milchman also produced and co-hosted the popular author panel discussion series "Writing Matters" in Montclair. The series ran for four years and was the subject of many in-depth articles in Shelf Awareness and numerous other trade publications. Topics ranged from elements of writing craft, to the book and publishing business. Milchman's debut novel, Cover of Snow, met with critical acclaim. Her latest novel Ruin Falls will be out on April 22 from Ballantine Books. KELLY BRAFFET is the author of the novel Save yourself (2013) from Crown Publishing. Her previous works include the novels Josie and Jack and Last Seen Leaving, and her writing has been published in The Fairy Tale Review, Post Road, and several anthologies. She attended Sarah Lawrence College and Columbia University and lives in upstate New York with her husband, the author Owen King.

Carla Buckley was born in Washington, D.C. She has worked as an assistant press secretary for a U.S. senator, an analyst with the Smithsonian Institution, and a technical writer for a defense contractor. She lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with her husband, an environmental scientist, and their three children. Her novels include Invisible, and The Things That Keep Us Here, Her latest novel, The deepest secret,is due out this month from Bantam Books. Therese Walsh's second novel, The moon sisters, will be published on March 4th, 2014 by Crown (Random House). Her debut, The Last Will of Moira Leahy, was named one of January Magazine’s Best Books of 2009, was nominated for a RITA award for Best First Book, and was a TARGET Breakout Book. Therese is the co-founder of "Writer Unboxed", a website that focusses on the craft and business of fiction. Before turning to fiction, Walsh was a researcher and writer for Prevention magazine, and then a freelance writer, with hundreds of published articles on nutrition and fitness.
