Short biography
Bruno of Cologne (c. 1030 – 6 October 1101), the founder of the Carthusian Order, personally founded the order's first two communities. He was a celebrated teacher at Reims, and a close advisor of his former pupil, Pope Urban II.

This small booklet contains: St Bruno's letter to his friend Raoul, written from the Hermitage of the Tower in Calabria, between 1096 and 1101; To His Carthusian Sons, A Letter to the monks of the Grande Chartreuse, France written from Calabria around 1099; and St. Bruno's Profession of Faith, made a week before his death October 6th. 1101.
