Simple, galloping coming-of-age novel where we see a child genius run through his life at extreme speed, missing his youth, in a way, because of his intelligence. He ends up at uni the second time, wanting to experience life as a "real" student with all the stupidities incumbent upon most students and also experiencing his first real difficulties in his studies with an English teacher who has a totally different opinion of Hemingway to his own.
