Short biography
George P. Horse Capture, a private consultant, lecturer, writer, and the former curator of the Plains Indian Museum at the Buffalo Bill Historic Center in Cody, Wyoming, has contributed essays to such publications as Before Columbus, Seeds of Change, and Native Nations: First Americans as seen by Edward S. Curtis.  A member of the A'ani (White Clay People) usually called the Gros Ventre tribe of the Fort Kelknap Reservation in North Central Montana, he is struggling to establish a tribal museum that highlights the history and culture of the resident tribes of the reservation.   His great-grandfather's [Horse Capture's] portrait taken by Curtis in 1908 is included in this collection.  [adapted from  Native Nations: First Americans as seen by Edward S. Curtis (1993)]
