(show)  Kingston Noir Wednesday, June 13, 7:30 PM NYC Book Launch for Kingston Noir Featuring editor Colin Channer and contributor Christopher John Farley Launched with the award-winning best seller Brooklyn Noir, Akashic Books' groundbreaking series of original noir anthologies continues with Kingston Noir, shining light into the darkest corners of the fabled Jamaican City. Featuring contributors such as Marlon James, Chris Abani, and Kwame Dawes, the collection balances a menacing tone with clever humor, and explores the literary wellspring that is Jamaica. The collection is edited by Kingston native Colin Channer, author of The Girl With the Golden Shoes, who will launch the book at Greenlight this evening along with contributor Christopher John Farley, a Jamaican-born journalist and author who is currently an editor at the Wall Street Journal. The event will be followed by a reception with refreshments and a special guest DJ.
