This book does what it set up to do, which is to give a story highly focused on the letter X. This may be scraping the bottom of a very old bucket but in need of a X book this one will do.

It is a great beginner guided reading because its patterned so students can pick up the format and then it can be used for working on figuring out new or unknown written words using illustrations for context. Its a nice and simple reader to help get build reading skills with new readers.

This collection is perfect for students learning to read. The classic stories in these books are familiar to children making them fun to read and great to focus on fluency with.
