Aneesh Chopra, the nation's first Chief Technology Officer (CTO), in his book Innovative State, offers unique insight into the Obama Administration's innovation agenda -- the role of the private sector in "open innovation," attracting new talent, prizes and challenges, etc. He will be speaking at Georgetown University about government and innovation and why it is critical if we want to make a dent in some of our most intractable challenges. He will be joined by Peter Levin, CTO of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, to discuss their strategy to make government more innovative and effective.
