Kathleen Clarke (1) (1878-1972) née Daly refers to the Irish revolutionary and politician. Her husband, Tom, and brother, Edward, were executed by the British for their part in the Easter Rising of 1916. She was prominent in Cumann na mBan and Sinn Féin and was subsequently a TD who opposed the Anglo-Irish Treaty. She later became a founder member of Fianna Fáil and a Senator and was the first female Lord Mayor of Dublin. She later joined Clann na Poblachta.
