Con Coleman

A fun read and better than most indies. Good concept & story line. This is a humorous medieval fantasy adventure with some clever twists. I would read more by this author.
My only complaint is the jarring dissonant modern curses that do not jive with the time or setting. More imaginative & clever medieval curses congruent with the setting & time would keep the reader in the created world. This lazy modern fallback acts as a distraction rather than its intention as emphasis of the character's anger or frustration.
Mind you, I don't mind the occasional, in character, & non-gratuitous f**k in hard-boiled detective novels, it just seems out of place in this novel.… (more)
