Disambiguation Notice
The Forestry Commission is a non-ministerial and cross-border organisation covering the whole of Great Britain. Since devolution, responsibility for forests in Wales and Scotland has passed to their Assemblies and the Forestry Commission reports to them appropriately while remaining a single organisation. For this reason, the various author terms have been combined here. There are forestry commissions elsewhere in the world, always (??) identified by their country, state or province.
