Top Secret Flight by Dale Cox
Top Secret Flight is about a highly classified mission that took place in March of 1942, three months after the infamous Pearl Harbor raid. The object was to obtain specific photos of Tokyo targets for the success of the planned April bombing of Japan. The mission was so secretive that it was never revealed in any military history nor ever reported to the American public. A month later, April 18, 1942, sixteen B-25 bombers were launched from the USS Hornet. The Doolittle Raid was on its way to bomb Japan. The bombing mission was successful and raised the morale of the American people. Dale Cox's book is nonfiction, but fictional themes are woven into the plot for spy novel excitement.… (more)
