What is justice? How does our legal system work? How can we trust a system that is so changeable and widely criticised? And are our laws really effective? These are some of the fundamental questions that former Supreme Court judge Ken Crispin sets out to answer. The themes will be idiosyncratic: from pop-cultural analysis to high cultural criticism; from political grandstanding to personal mischief-making. But they’ll all be thought-provoking. Bring your lunch along to this bite-sized session. Date: 12.45–1.15 pm, Thursday 1 July Venue: The Wheeler Centre Auditorium, 176 Little Lonsdale Street, Melbourne (scribe_pub)
