I am interested in the link between two issues. Firstly: Does the human species have an important place in an evolving planet? Secondly: If the answer to the first question is yes, how does this relate to the environmental crisis and human-induced global warming? My view is that the human species has an important place in an evolving planet because its purpose is to geoengineer the temperature of the Earth's atmosphere. A closely related interest is the question of the degree of similarity that exists between humans and non-human animals, and the degree of similarity that exists between humans and the wider non-human universe.
