Each year the Friends of the National Library celebrate the life and work of a distinguished individual who has contributed significantly to Australian writing and culture. This year's Celebration will honour the career of Australia's favourite gardener, Peter Cundall. Peter Cundall's name is synonymous with gardening in Australia, and his articles in the 'Gardening Australia' magazine, as well as his much loved book 'The Practical Australian Gardener', have inspired generations of new gardeners to get their hands dirty. With a keynote speech by Holly Kerr Forsyth, garden writer and historian, and Peter Cundall in conversation with Alex Sloan of 666 ABC Canberra, this is an event not to be missed. $20 Friends, $30 non-members (includes afternoon tea) Bookings: 02 6262 1698 or email@example.com (prosperosbook)
