- Kate Daniels worked as editor and publisher of the journal Poetry East beginning in 1979. Her first book, Of Solitude and Silence: Writings on Robert Bly, which Daniels edited with her Poetry East colleague Richard Jones, assembles tributes to and evaluations of the works of poet Bly, as well as poems, translations, and an essay by Bly himself. A poet in her own right, Daniels has won the Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize and the Pushcart Prize for poetry.

Out of Silence: Selected Poems by Muriel Rukeyser
I thought I'd try to give a book of poetry a try, but I lack the attention span for an entire book of poems, and I couldn't read it before it was due back at the library. I'll have to buy a copy and take my time instead of trying to power through. (Powering through poetry is sacrilege anyway, or at least pointless.)
Most of these poems are about family relationships. They are evocative and insightful, but a tad fussier than Lucille Clifton, who is one of my current favorites. I enjoyed them while I was reading them, but am unlikely to return.
If you enjoy paranormal romance you will like this book. I got it free on Nook and I am surprised it isn't available on Kindle for some reason. It is published by smashwords.
The story is interesting and while the vamps and weres are more or less the usual, the characters are fun. It's a fast read and I am hoping for a sequel!
