Short biography
Thomas Dekker, an Elizabethan playwright and pamphleteer, had a versatile and prolific career.  He collaborated with many of the period's most famous dramatists, such as Ben Jonson and John Webster, among others. Dekker's lifelong problems with debt caused him imprisonment on several occasions, once for a period of seven years, though he continued writing throughout.
