Short biography
Hollie Domiano wanted to be two things growing up: Miss America and a flight attendant for TWA. Her writing got in the way of doing either.

After seeing her first article published in a local newspaper at age 10, she decided she wanted to do more. At the University of New Orleans, she wrote for the campus newspaper Driftwood. From 1992-2002, she was a literary reviewer for Affaire de Coeur magazine.

The Miss America program never left her sights, however. In 2000, she became involved with Miss Crescent City New Orleans. She is business manager, co-director and webmaster. From 2003-2007, she had the honor of serving as webmaster for the Miss Louisiana Scholarship Organization. In 2004, the state organization awarded her for her efforts. 2010 will mark her tenth year with MAO.

In working with contestants, she saw a need for newcomers and veterans alike to have a comprehensive manual to all phases of Miss America competition. Thus, Myths America: A Practical Guide to Pageantry was born. The book is now in its third edition.

Hollie belongs to Toastmasters International, where she serves as VP Education for the Big Easy Toasters. She holds the Advanced Communicator Bronze designation. She also belongs to Beta Sigma Phi international sorority.

Hollie followed in her father's footsteps and became a licensed amateur radio operator, holding the callsign KE5ONZ.

She lives in New Orleans with her family. She never got to fly for TWA.
