Lène Dresen-Coenders was a Dutch historian and educator who extensively researched the persecution of witches in Europe. Her best-known work in this field was Het verbond van heks en duivel (The Association of Witches and Devil, 1983). She also published works about the position of women in the Middle Ages, women's emancipation, sex education, and the psychology of female factory workers.
