Short biography
Stephen D. Eckstein was raised in an Orthodox Jewish family in Latvia (at the time part of the Russian Empire), and emigrated to the U.S. prior to the Revolution. In 1921 he was baptized into Christ, and dedicated the remainder of his life to reaching out to his fellow Jews with the gospel. Most of his work was done from his longtime home in Kansas City, Missouri, but he was a popular preacher and lecturer among the churches of Christ throughout the U.S.
