Milner Book Club
Edmonton Public Library - Stanley A. Milner Library (Main Branch), Friday, January 31, 2014 at 12pm
Location: Board Room, 3rd Floor
Join fellow readers the last Friday of every month, 12 noon, for our lively discussion about books, movies, culture, current events and anything else that pops up for discussion. Lots of fun and everyone welcome.
The Milner Book Club returns in January with a small taste of Canada Reads! First on the agenda is Esi Edugyan's modern classic Half Blood Blues, a tale of World War II, prejudice, and jazz music. Then we'll look at another Canada Reads finalist's work, Margaret Atwood's important Massey Lecture, Payback: Debt and the Shadow Side of Wealth.
For free reading copies and more information, please call Diego at 780-496-7000 or send an e-mail to: dibarra@epl.ca (DiegoIbarra)… (more)
