About the Author

Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall is a leading landscape architect and garden designer specialising in the creation or restoration of period gardens. Recent projects include an 18th-century town garden in The Circus, Bath, the early 19th-century garden at River Cottage, Cliveden, Berkshire, the cottage show more garden at the Royal Horticultural Society Rosemoor Garden in Devon, and the famous rose garden at Sudeley Castle, Gloucestershire She also lectures on garden design and has broadcast on radio and television in the United Kingdom and the United States. I waited a long time for this one copy to become available in my library system. I love ivies, and expected more. This book was a disappointment. It focused on large expensive gardens, showing many mass plantings tended by armies of paid gardeners.
