The New Press (www.thenewpress.com) is one of the nation’s most significant independent presses, taking a leading role in publishing notable books on contemporary social issues. Words Without Borders is a highly regarded online magazine for international literature, with which The New Press collaborated in the publication of Literature From The ‘Axis of Evil’: Writing from Iran, Iraq, North Korea and Other Enemy Nations. For this program, Dedi Felman, editor and vice president of Words Without Borders, will join editors Susan Harris and Samantha Schnee, to discuss and read works showcased in the anthology. This is a unique opportunity for the general public to engage with literature by writers rarely featured in the United States. (lampbane)
