While this book would be great for beginning tarot readers, it probably shouldn't be their one and only book. Fiorini's focus is solely on spreads and doing readings, and there's almost nothing in this book about card meanings, the structure of a tarot deck, or tarot history except for an appendix at the back with brief card meanings. But for what it covers, this is an excellent book. Fiorini devotes an entire chapter to discussing the query itself, and another chapter generally to the act of reading the cards. Only after this does she present any spreads.

Now although the spreads are useful and diverse, many of them can be found in other books. If you're looking for large spreads, you'll be disappointed, since these spreads max out at eight cards. (Which means there's no discussion of either the Celtic Cross or the Horoscope spread. I don't think the book is diminished one whit by those omissions.) The strength of this book is in what Fiorini says about these spreads. For each spread, the author lists questions that deepen the meanings of the spread as a whole and also the individual card positions. She also has guidelines about drawing extra cards to expand a spread, sometimes recommending that the spread be left as is, and other times listing more questions that can guide a reading in a new direction. I think all these questions are a wonderful tool, because if your intuition is skipping a bit during a reading, thinking about the questions may jump-start some answers. So I'd not only recommend this book for beginning and intermediate readers, but suggest that advanced and professional readers take a look at it as well.
