Randy Kazandy is a kid who was always bumping into walls, couldn't read books, couldn't catch a ball, so his mother took him to Dr. Bee who told him that he needs to wear glasses. He really doesn't want to wear them so he drops them under a car tire, throws them and does all sorts of other things to get rid of them but his mom keeps giving him a new pair. This is a story about self acceptance and soon he discovers that he loves being who he is, glasses or not. It is beautifully illustrated and written in rhyme which I think children will love. It's a very funny but and shows that being different is not a bad thing. I love this book and think children will love it too. My nephew had to start wearing glasses at the age of two, and this book would have been a blessing to him when he started school.
