A one-man play scheduled to be performed at the Sam Noble Museum will bring Charles Darwin to life for audience members. “Darwin Remembers: Recollections of a Life’s Journey” will be performed in the museum’s Kerr Auditorium at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22. Admission is free. The performance is sponsored by the University of Oklahoma Departments of Zoology and Botany and Microbiology, the OU Libraries and the Sam Noble Museum. “Darwin Remembers” is written and performed by Floyd Sandford. The information presented in the play is factual. Much of it was derived from Darwin's autobiography, edited and published shortly after his death by his son Francis. In the play, an aging Darwin remembers his life’s trials and triumphs, from his voyage on the HMS Beagle as a young man through his long and varied scientific career. (benjclark)… (more)
