Short biography
No man ever lived a more harmonious life with the teachings and practices of the Faith of his Fathers as did the Reverend Dr. Michael Friedlander.  The tenets of this Faith, its rites and ceremonies he so well described in his work on The Jewish Religion, a standard hand-book on the subject.  By his gentle character, his religious earnestness and his deep scholarship lent distinction and inspiration to many of his faithful followers and disciples.  He was endowed with many exalted qualities that distinguished him as a man, as a Jew, as a scholar, and, above all, as a great teacher in Israel
