JENNIFER E. SMITH is the author of This Is What Happy Looks Like, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, The Storm Makers, You Are Here, and The Comeback Season. In The Geography of You and Me, Lucy lives on the twenty-fourth floor. Owen lives in the basement. It's fitting, then, that they meet in the middle -- stuck between two floors of a New York City apartment building, on an elevator rendered useless by a citywide blackout. After they're rescued, Lucy and Owen spend the night wandering the darkened streets and marveling at the rare appearance of stars above Manhattan. But once the power is back, so is reality.
JEN CALONITA would never have fought her parents on going to sleepaway camp. When she isn't writing, the author of the Secrets of My Hollywood Life and the Belles series can be found at the beach or floating in the pool. In Summer State of Mind, Summer has finally arrived and fifteen-year-old Harper McCallister intends to spend her days at the mall shopping or by the pool at her country club. But after receiving her latest heart-stopping credit card bill, Harper's parents makes other plans, and ship her off to camp. ALECIA WHITAKER grew up on a small farm in Cynthiana, Kentucky. She is the author of The Queen of Kentucky, as well as an actress, and currently lives in New York City with her husband. In Wildflower, Bird Barrett has grown up on the road, singing backup in her family's bluegrass band and playing everywhere from Nashville, Tennessee, to Nowhere, Oklahoma. But one fateful night, when Bird fills in for her dad by singing lead, a scout in the audience offers her a spotlight all her own.
KAMI GARCIA is coauthor with Margaret Stohl of the #1 New York Times bestselling Beautiful Creatures series. The first book in the series, Beautiful Creatures, is now a major motion picture. In addition to writing together, they have written solo novels: Unbreakable, an instant New York Times bestseller and the first book in Kami's series, The Legion; and Icons, the first book in Margaret's Icons series, which is currently in development as a feature film. In BEAUTIFUL CREATURES Ridley Duchannes is nobody's heroine. She's a Dark Caster, a Siren. She can make you do things. Anything. You can't trust her, or yourself when she's around. And she'll be the first to tell you to stay away-especially if you're going to do something as stupid as fall in love with her. MEGAN McCAFFERTY is the New York Times bestselling author of the Jessica Darling series, Bumped, and Thumped. Her work has received honors from the American Library Association and the New York Public Library. She lives in Princeton, New Jersey, with her husband and son. JESSICA DARLING'S IT LIST will have you laughing, cringing, and cheering for Jessica Darling as she learns that being herself beats being popular, pretty & perfect any day. It's the first day of seventh grade. Is Jessica Darling doomed for dorkdom?

Join co-authors, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl for a reading, and signing of their new young adult novel, Dangerous Creatures. A new Beautiful Creatures spinoff series featuring fan favorites Link and Ridley! From the world of Beautiful Creatures-a dangerous new tale of love and magic. Ridley Duchannes is nobody's heroine. She's a Dark Caster, a Siren. She can make you do things. Anything. You can't trust her, or yourself when she's around. And she'll be the first to tell you to stay away-especially if you're going to do something as stupid as fall in love with her. Lucky for Ridley, her wannabe rocker boyfriend, Wesley "Link" Lincoln, never listens to anyone. Link doesn't care if Rid's no good for him, and he takes her along when he leaves small-town Gatlin to follow his rock-star dream. He teams up with a ragtag group of Dark Casters, and when the band scores a gig at a hot Underground club, it looks like all of Link's dreams are about to come true. But New York City is adangerous place for both Casters and Mortals, and soon Ridley realizes that Link's bandmates are keeping secrets. With bad-boy club owner Lennox Gates on her heels, Rid is determined to find out the truth. What she discovers is worse than she could have imagined: Link has a price on his head that no Caster or Mortal can ever pay. With their lives on the line, what's a Siren to do? Kami Garcia signs UNBREAKABLE and Holly Black signs THE COLDEST GIRL IN COLDTOWN
Square Books, Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 4pm
Description of Unbreakable I never believed in ghosts. Until one tried to kill me. When Kennedy Waters finds her mother dead, she doesn't realize that paranormal forces are responsible--not until mysterious identical twins Jared and Lukas Lockhart break into her room and destroy a deadly spirit sent to kill her. Kennedy learns that her mother's death was no accident, and now she has to take her place in the Legion of the Black Dove--a secret society whose five members were all murdered on the same night, leaving the Legion in the hands of the next generation: a misfit group with unique skills. As the new members race to find the only weapon capable of destroying the demon, they use their individual talents to battle paranormal entities and earn their rightful place in the Legion--except for Kennedy. If she is truly the missing piece of the puzzle, can she stay alive long enough to find out--without losing her heart in the process? Protect Yourself. What you can't see CAN hurt you. About the Author Kami Garcia is the #1 New York Times bestselling coauthor of Beautiful Creatures, which is now a major motion picture. Unbreakable is her first solo novel and the first book in the Legion series. Kami lives in Maryland with her family and her dogs, Spike and Oz, named after characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Description of The Coldest Girl in Coldtown Tana lives in a world where walled cities called Coldtowns exist. In them, quarantined monsters and humans mingle in a decadently bloody mix of predator and prey. The only problem is, once you pass through Coldtown's gates, you can never leave. One morning, after a perfectly ordinary party, Tana wakes up surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of this massacre are her exasperatingly endearing ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the wicked, opulent heart of Coldtown itself. The Coldest Girl in Coldtown is a wholly original story of rage and revenge, of guilt and horror, and of love and loathing from bestselling and acclaimed author Holly Black. About the Author Holly Black is the bestselling author of contemporary fantasy novels for teens and children, including tithe: a modern faerie tale and the #1 New York Times bestselling Spiderwick series. She has been a finalist for the Mythopoeic Award and the Eisner Award, and the recipient of the Andre Norton Award. Holly lives in Massachusetts with her husband, Theo, in a house with a secret library. Praise for The Coldest Girl in Coldtown… * "You may be ready to put a stake in vampire lit, but read this first: It's dark and dangerous, bloody and brilliant." -Kirkus, starred review *"Teens with a yen for dark, futuristic novels, and maybe even a few Anne Rice readers, will find this a refreshing take on vampire lit. As always, Black's writing is quick paced and thought-provoking. A must-have for any teen collection." -School Library Journal, starred review
