Si tratta, come abbondantemente gia' detto, di una requisitoria; difficile giudicare se possa essere necessaria o inadeguata. Purtroppo il lettore che gia' ha idea della situazione trova alla fine poco materiale effettivamente interessante, per la maggior parte sono riportati aspetti giornalistici piuttosto ripetitivi per un pubblico casuale. Al contrario chi non conosce la situazione non andrebbe certo a leggere questo saggio difficile da consigliare, problema pero' comune a molte altre opere simili.… (more)
Molto interessante, soprattutto la tesi dell'autore. Ma la parte centrale del saggio e' terribilmente lenta e noiosa, e i vari capitoli non sempre sono ben collegati tra loro.
I have spent considerable time in Florence and my daughter spent her junior year at the University of Florence. This is hands down the best guidebook to the city. The book is small enough to be easliy carried. It divides Florence into its different neighborhoods together with excellent maps. Its selection of historical sites, stores and restaurants is impeccable.
