Annie Laurie Gaylor co-founded the Freedom from Religion Foundation, an association of freethinkers working for the separation of church and state with her mother Anne Gaylor in 1976. She received a journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1980. She founded, edited and published a monthly feminist advocacy newspaper, The Feminist Connection (1980-1984). Since 1985 she has served as editor of the Foundation's newspaper, Freethought Today. [...] She codirects the Feminist Caucus of the American Humanist Association. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin, and is married to Daniel E. Barker. They have one daughter, Sabrina Delata Gaylor, born in 1989. [from Women Without Superstition (1997)]
