Aaron Gerow is Associate Professor in Japanese cinema in the Film Studies Program and the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale University. He came to Yale in 2003 after spending 12 years in Japan teaching at Yokohama National University and Meiji Gakuin University. He served as coordinator for the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival and wrote film reviews for The Daily Yomiuri.
