Local author and illustrator Michael Hall, author of Heart Like A Zoo and Perfect Square, will be here Saturday, February 23rd at 11am for his newest book Cat Tale which uses so much fun and quirky wordplay we just had to try it ourselves. Valentine's Day is in exactly one day! It is a day filled with LOVE, candy hearts, roses, and twitterpation. Our storytime today will be a celebration of all things heart-shaped and loving. We'll read My Heart Is Like a Zoo and then make valentines for the special people in our lives. Love is a many splendid thing and we can't wait to celebrate by making art with you all! It's back . . . The PJ Party on the Trolley is so super, silly, and special, we couldn't help but bring it back this summer with one of our favorite authors: Michael Hall. Here's the rundown: 1. You show up at the trolley station in your pajamas. (Who doesn't like to go out in PJ's? Who, we ask you? No one, that's who.) 2. You are served cookies and milk on the station platform. Yum! 3. All aboard the trolley! 4. After a fun, fun, fun ride, we stop in a quiet spot. While still on the trolley, our guest author and Illustrator Michael Hall reads some bedtime stories. 5. More trolley riding back to the station! How to Get Tickets: You must be signed up for the Wild Rumpus Email List to reserve tickets for the PJ Party. To sign up for the email list, click the box below. Join Our Email List Tickets for the June 21st PJ Party will go on sale on Tuesday, June 5 at 7PM. If you are signed up for the mailing list, you will receive an email at that time. Click on the links in the email to make your reservations. Tickets for this event are $5 each, and there is a maximum of 5 tickets per person/sale. Once reserved, tickets must be picked up and paid for by Tuesday, June 12. If not, they will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. Cash or check only, please. You will need tickets for adults and children over a year old. All proceeds go to the Minnesota Streetcar Museum, a Non-Profit organization. Find them at www.trolleyride.org Tickets sell out fast. If you don't get tickets this time, don't lose hope. We at Wild Rumpus are lucky ducks, and we know it. And our shorter patrons are lucky ducklings, too, because a special guest is coming in honor of Valentine's Day.
