Christopher Hampton

Christopher Hampton got involved in the theater while at Oxford University. The Oxford University Drama Society put on his play "When Did You Last See My Mother?" before it was produced and performed in the West End. He has been resident dramatist at the Royal Court Theatre, and also the company's literary manager. He is probably best known for his play "Dangerous Liaisons," based on the novel by Choderlos de Laclos, for which he also wrote the screen adaptation that won an Academy Award in 1988.
