7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Kale is one of the most nutrient-dense greens in existence. Most people know that they should be eating it, but many don’t know just how delicious it can be. The Book of Kale is a garden-to-kitchen guide that gives readers all they need to know to grow this super-sustainable crop organically, and it’s a cookbook with more than eighty simple but superb recipes. We are pleased that “kale-evangelist” Sharon Hanna will be at McGill Library to talk about her book, answer questions and sign copies.
Sharon Hanna writes, speaks and teaches in Vancouver, BC. She received the Mayor’s Prize for Environmental Excellence in 2006 for her inner-city children’s gardening program. Hanna contributes regularly to GardenWise magazine and GardenWiseOnline, and was West Coast correspondent for Gardening Life.
Books will be available for purchase at this event.
