This author kept the oral transition of Snow White. The story is exactly the same as I've heard it before, but looks different. I remember the wicked lady queen being a lot scarier, and I thought she was a witch. The characters of this book seem to have casual expressions and no dark scenes or a scary witch. Snow White definitely looks different. I remember her having a short bob hairstyle and a red bow. The authors has Snow White with extremely long black wavy hair. Summary: this book is a retelling of 3 famous folktales told long ago: goldilocks, billy goats gruff, and three little pigs. The stories are just as I remember them except for the three little pigs where the pig in a house of bricks continues to trick the wolf long after he has tried to blow the house down.
Review: This book is a folktale because the original authors of these three stories have been lost to time. This book itself does not better nor worse job a telling them than books in the past with similar tales have.
