Short biography
Author, former librarian at the New Brunswick Legislature. Born 7 March 1901, in Niagara Falls, Ontario; died 14 Oct. 1996, in Fredericton, aged 95.

Isabel Louise Hill was the last person to be listed as "Miss" in the Fredericton phone book. All efforts by the local telephone authorities to warn her of the contemporary hazards of identifying her sex went for naught: Miss Hill she had been since she came of age in 1919, and Miss Hill -- one of Fredericton's most venerable personalities -- she would remain.
